All our customers, who opened their accounts before 01.01.2010 are advised to submit their latest, valid Know Your Customer (KYC) documents (national ID/passport and residence proof in case of Maldivian citizens and passport, work/businessvisaand local residence proof in case of foreigners/expatriates) anda PP size photograph latest by 15th July, 2015 in order to comply with the provisions on ongoing due diligence outlined in various regulations issued by MMA.
The originals as also copies of the documents as indicated above shall be submitted along with the duly filled-in re-KYC form appearing in the “downloads” section of this website, whereupon the originals will be returned across the counter to the customers, after due verification by the Bank.
Where customers are unable to visit the Bank on account of their staying outside Male’/ in far-flung atolls, they need to submit/ send by post/courier/messenger along with the re-KYC form referred above, the above-cited document copies, duly verified with the respective originals by their respective employers, viz. school principals, head masters, hospital dean, company CEO’s, etc. No fax/scanned copy through email will be entertained.
In case of non-receipt of KYC documents, Bank may not allow transactions in such non-KYC compliant accounts.
